@ Leong Ji Seafood at Hougang Green

Deep fried pork with preserved beancurd which tasted like normal fried chicken but the pork version. Can't even taste a trace of preserved beancurd flavour and has alot of thick fats. Cost $8, definately not worth the price.

Gou qi vegetable soup with eggs, also contains cuttlefish, sliced fish, prawns, small sliced of pork, carrots and tomatoes. It has a ginger and fried onion flavour to it. What's really turned off is that the carrots tasted sour, which means it already turned bad. The skin of the carrot partially were already blacken. Wonder why the none of the staff checked the freshness of the food before it goes into our mouths. Cost $4, i minus the spoilt carrots, it's worth the money since there are so many ingredients.

The vegetable dish aka mixed vegetables luo han. Again the same bunch of spoilt carrots is used and the lettuce has a very slight sour taste too. The dish contains carrots, lettuces, snow peas, deep fries beancurd skin and mushrooms. The snow peas tasted very crunchy and tasty. Minus the carrots and lettuces or if the both are fresh the dish is still ok. Cost $6, the price is still on the average because everywhere is priced the same too.

As for the chillies, their belachan chilli has a raw seafood taste not very spicy for me and for the chilli padi, the soy sauce is very sweet. Weird for me cos normally soy sause is suppose to taste salty.

The overall, I dunno how they gotten on that program, maybe I didn't order their famous dishes. But if the very simple dishes can't taste right, how much can the other tastes? Not worth the trip but if you are around this area you can still give it a try though.

AEG Releases Michael Jackson They Dont Care About Us Rehearsal Footage

A video released Thursday showed Michael Jackson vigorously practicing a song-and-dance routine days before his death, supporting accounts he had been in good health.

In footage obtained by AFP, the pop legend performed at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on June 23, two days before he died, as he prepared for a 50-date set in London starting in July.

Jackson, while thin, is seen dancing with energy in a tightly choreographed sequence with a group of performers. Jackson sings on a headset and at one point pushes back his jacket to reveal his red shirt underneath.

In the footage, Jackson switches sharply in styles in a medley of some of his hits. The video starts with Jackson dancing wildly in front of a rock 'n' roll guitarist before a pause for dramatic effect.

Jackson then shifts to a snippet of "Billie Jean," one of his greatest hits, before singing, "They Don't Care About Us," one of his most controversial tracks in which he brought in a hip-hop influence.

The set ends with a sample of a car horn. The stage then fades to black as an outside voice instructs, "Hold for applause."

Associates of Jackson have described the 50-year-old pop star as being in good form, including at another rehearsal just hours before his death.

Jackson collapsed and died on June 25 at his rented Los Angeles mansion. Speculation has focused on whether Jackson was taking painkillers or other medication.

Jackson's voice coach Dorian Holley said Jackson was in an upbeat mood in the days before his death, joking around with his wardrobe and makeup staff.

"My friends call and ask, 'Was Michael sick? Was he weak? Was he ill?' It's the absolute opposite of that," Holley told CNN.

"He was very energetic, he was happy. He was even more playful than he normally was at rehearsal," he said.

Holley said Jackson, 50, did not show his age.

"I'm sure that he was in pain after some rehearsals. But I got to tell you something -- the guys and girls dancing with him were all in their 20s," he said.

"When Michael was on stage with them, there was only one person that you could watch and that was Michael Jackson," he said.

A similar account came from Kevin Mazur, who was attending the rehearsal sessions as a photographer.

"He was like an expectant father pacing up and down the stage," Mazur told Britain's Sun tabloid.

"He was just so focused. Between songs, he burst into laughter and joked around with his dancers and the director. I have never seen him so happy," Mazur said.

Jackson had planned a series of concerts at London's O2 Arena starting on July 13, part of a comeback for the King of Pop whose personal and financial life had sharply deteriorated in the past decade.

Concert promoters AEG Live, who released the video, are offering full ticket refunds for the concerts.

British media reports said about 50 million pounds (59 million euros, 83 million dollars) has been spent on 750,000 tickets.

After how MOH has been talking about H1N1 will reaching Singapore, and its just the matter of time and now it finally came. First case is confirmed today, MOH has announced today that a 22-year-old Singaporean woman returned from New York yesterday and tested positive for the flu virus.

As stated on msn news, she actually passed through undetected through the thermal scanner at Changi airport. However, later she went to a general practitioner(aka Our Neighbourhood Doctor) complaining of flu symptoms. The doctor sent her by ambulance to Tan Tock Seng Hospital's communicable disease centre where she is in a stable condition. She was was in New York from May 14-24. She returned on a Singapore Airlines flight at 6:30 am yesterday and developed a cough during the trip. All her "close contacts" will be quarantined and provided with antiviral medication, the MOH said.

I was totally freaking out after reading this because first thing that came to my mind is will there tourist/air crew/people who just came back from holiday or even people working there has came in contact with H1N1 and yet they are not even aware of it?

What's worst is... Just few days ago(of course before that lady with H1N1 came to Singapore), I was still at Changi Airport with Shrimpy, Baby & Nags chilling at TCC @ Terminal 3. OMFG! After I told Shrimpy, he was like "WTF? Why did we even go Airport to chill out in the first place. Why didnt we even think of it that the airport is the most dangerous place of getting contacted to H1N1" Seriously, I didn't even come to realise that we shouldn't be going this place at the moment, or maybe it's a Singaporean thingy that we are Kiasi(aka Afraid of Dying).

Okay before I end, below a text of Ministry of Health Statement with coutesy of MSN news which I shall copy & paste here. Chaos!

Singapore has confirmed its first case of Influenza A (H1N1-2009). The patient is currently being treated at the Communicable Disease Centre at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and is in stable condition.
2 The patient is a 22-year-old Singaporean female who was in New York from May 14-24. She arrived back in Singapore from New York on SQ25 (Seated at Row 55) on 26 May at 06.30hrs. She began to develop a cough while onboard. She passed the thermal scanner uneventfully as she did not have fever then. Later in the morning, she consulted a GP who decided to send her to TTSH via a 993 ambulance, given her travel history. She was immediately admitted for testing. Laboratory confirmation of her infection was made by midnight of 26 May.
3 The patient has been vigilant in monitoring her own condition and had sought immediate medical attention once she realized that she was unwell. Her attending GP, through his quick response in activating the 993 ambulance for the patient, had also helped to minimize the spread of infection from this case.
4 We have initiated contact tracing of her close contacts. They will be quarantined and provided with antiviral prophylaxis. Passengers who had travelled in the same flight and were seated in rows 52 to 58 are urged to call the hotline at 1800- 333 9999 to enable us to check on their health condition.
Enhanced vigilance
5 The Ministry has reminded all medical practitioners and healthcare institutions to continue to be vigilant to suspect cases. We will continue with temperature screening for passengers entering Singapore at all checkpoints (land, sea and air). All passengers passing through or entering Singapore are given Health Alert Notices on board their flights, advising them to monitor their own health if they have been to affected areas and to seek medical attention immediately if they are not well.
Advice from MOH
6 Singaporeans are reminded to maintain high standards of personal hygiene. This means covering your nose and mouth with a tissue when you sneeze or cough, and washing your hand frequently with soap and water, especially after contact with respiratory secretions (e.g., after sneezing and coughing). We also need the cooperation of everyone to be socially responsible. This means staying home and avoiding crowded places (including trains, buses, offices), putting on a surgical mask and seeing a doctor if you have flu symptoms. MOH advises those who travelled to affected areas to closely monitor their health and seek treatment as soon as possible should they develop symptoms.
7 Members of the public are advised to exercise caution over travel to affected areas. In the event that travel is unavoidable, the public is advised to take precautionary measures such as avoiding crowded areas and maintaining high standards of personal hygiene at all times. However, iff you are unwell with fever and cough but have no travel history to affected areas, please see a doctor and stay at home.
8 MOH is monitoring the situation closely and will update the public should there be any new developments. For more information on Influenza A (H1N1-2009), please access MOH’s website at www.moh.gov.sg, call our hotline at 1800-333 9999, or visit www.flu.gov.sg.

Afterwards, I tried it & it actually taste quite okay.

Finally done with Boys Over Flowers aka Kgotboda Namja...

Reviews for this drama?

It's much better compared to the taiwan & japanese series. The basic plot of the storyline is still there. But guess what? They've gotten a little bit of Meteor Garden & a little bit of Hana Yori Dango, mixed it with a pinch of korean drama touch. *Tadaa* Boy Over Flowers! Totally new & improved! I actually really finished the drama, like really glued to the screen without missing a part at all. Not only you get to droll over Lee Min Ho, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Bum , Kim Joon, Koo Hye Sun etc.. This drama brings youa lot of unexpected scenes, scenes that makes you laugh till you drop & also scenes that makes u weep like a baby. So drama lovers out there, especially fans of Hana Yori Dango / Meteor Garden, be sure to catch Boys Over Flowers!

I was reading 8 days and there's this video of the week, which interest me and I decided to check it out. True enough, this video is very touching and it's amazing to see that what a human's best friend can really do. So, I decided to share with you guys. Enjoy..

The translation of the announcer is as follows:

"These images seen from the surveillance cameras show a very common situation with our overpopulated highways. It is normal for us to see dogs run over. In the video, we can see this dog fighting for his life because he was run over by the vehicle.

"What is very touching is to see the very heroic actions of this other dog who is trying to pull him to the side of the highway. We are going to keep seeing things like this until we find a solution to the dogs living on the streets."

It was tedious for the past 3 days. We've to wake up early & get home late. Even during lunch & dinner breaks... Let me tell you, it's freaking scary. The queues everywhere are freaking long & duration is around an hour & half. By the time we reach the counter & gotten a seat, we left with half an hour or less to eat and go back on time. Just imagine 5000(plus/minus) people from all over the world who attended the seminar.

Ok enough of my complains, just ignored those please. So, the seminar was good, afterall I did learn new things which can really help me. Anyway, we really had fun these 3 days too, get to know new friends from over the world too.

Another random post about Princess the mix breed puppy. Ok few days ago too, my dad brought a puppy home, it was a friend of him from the next door of his office. She was so adorable I swear though she only came for a day. I guessed my dad really liked her and hopefully my mum would accept having another dog at home. But all of us knows she will never accept because 1 Prince(my current dog, a cocker spaniel) was enough to give her headaches.

But the 1 day was memorable. My whole family totally leave the whole puppy to me which I decided to call her Princess though my dad insisted she was called zena. I don't know why so don't ask. LOL.she slept in a pail with a blanket made of towel. She damn cute can, but too she gave me headache cos she's hyper active once she wake up. She kept chasing for my toes and attempt to bite it. -.-" Obviously I didn't get to sleep, and I was takeing care of her. Then I realised something, he wasn't a healthy dog, she was breathing very heavily when she sleeps and her body would suddenly jerk and she will shiver very hard letting a soft whine. I was very worry so I decide to stay up till mum wakes up and let her take care of it when I go to sleep in the morning.

End of the day it was decided that Princess to be send back to the original owner because the whole family don't have time to take care of her though we would really want to keep her. But I rather she goes back to her original owner so that at least there is someone to take care of her. It's not an excuse, just thought that what if no ones at home and she sudden fall really sick, she might just die. I believe Princess will definitely have a loooong life ahead for her.

Heard of giving your 2nd button of you uniform to someone you like?

Well, recently I've being catching "It Started With A Kiss", a taiwan drama. I guess most of you have sure seen it years back when it was popular during the year 2005. Yeah, I know, it's so passe. But I'm more of Korean drama craza though I do watch Taiwan, Japanese, Hong Kong & English drama at times. Overall I can say is I'm a all drama craze person. Haha. Ok, back to topic.

So I was watching "It Started With A Kiss" and 1 of the episode was shown that Zhi Shu(Joe Cheng) Mum was talking about giving the 2nd the button to someone you like after you graduate from school. So suddenly I remember that when I was in Secondary School there was a overseas school exchange program between a Taiwan school & Singapore school. So happen that our school was 1 of the chosen one. What happen was a few students was sppointed to each class as usual, that's how an exchange student program works. I have already forgotten how long it last, and I didn't even really socialise with them at all cos most of the time & I couldn't care less.

Last day came and all of them were talking and saying farewell including the teachers to the students. Then one of the student came to me and gave me a button and a pin. At that moment I was quite confused like "What's with the button", cos only a few recieved the button and the whole class recieve the pin I guess if I'm not wrong. I shrugged and accepted it as a token of friendship.

Till few days back I still have no single idea about the button thingy. Until I saw it from the drama and realised it. It was quite a sweet thing to do of course back in high school uniform days. Oh ya, also that 2nd button thingy in Taiwan if you don't like the person you cannot accept it. But I guessed it was something new to Singaporean students so can blame me right.

So this was end my random 2nd button story. For those who have caught this drama do watch it, it's really nice. Ok a picture of the button & pin taken with my Nikon Coolpix S500. It's very clear so click to enlarge if you want to. =)

Was Brilliant! I was watching the Opening ceremony and it's so beautiful, the fireworks, the coordination of the performance. Everything was perfect. I hope that someone would upload it on Youtube, so I could see it again & also post it in my blog for those whom hasn't seen it yet.

I'm sick again! yes, again. I just recover from about 2 weeks ago from a bad fever & cough. Now, I'm so officially sick again, am down with a really bad flu *sniffs*, a really dry cough that's killing my throat so much that it hurts. I can't even sleep well, because of the bad cough & my nose is like a running tap. argh~ =(

SO IMMA GOING TO GET A MC FROM YOU GUYS TOO. =X

I wasn't sure what was all this about until I saw Channel's 5 website. It's a contest for he/she to be a celefare. The info was kinda vague, but anyway we'll all know once it's out on the telly. So.. if you guys find it interesting you can go join it.

Shrimp's B'day

It was Shrimp's B'day yesterday & I gave him a surprise though he claims he's not really surprise. oh well, whatever.

It goes like this...

Shrimp was out for viewing the night before his b'day and assuming I was home. But, I wasn't I was already all prepared, and heading out to get the birthday cake and head down to his house. Half way thru the journey Shrimp called me. OMG. I panicked, so I hung up and texted him that I'm talking to my mum and will get back to him, and he believed!

Almost reaching destination, me having totally no idea how to get him to come out, I decided to call Ed and told him to scam Shrimp out of his house and that's how Plan A proceeds...

Finally, I have reached Shrimp's block and I was planning to take out the b'day cake and light up the candles under Shrimp's void deck that has those tile table and stools, but there were a group of youngsters there and I think it wasn't a really good idea to do it there and Plan A failed badly. =?

So, Plan B proceeds...

I rushed out to his gate, called him with my hp, acting I was returning the called from just now. Guess what, Shrimp asked me to call him with my home line. Gosh! That's when I have to tell him, "Come to your door now. Come to your door now, quick~" and he replied, "Wait, I need to go to the toilet." Ahhhhh! Madness, I can't believe he sounded like as though he knows all my movements and my surprise mode was half murdered by him. =X

Anyway, end of the day, there was a mini celebration with Shrimp's family. Everyone enjoyed and too took photos together. LOL. Although I can say Shrimp's dad looked more surprised than Shrimp. Yeah I know, supposed to be the Shrimp instead, but oh well, we all still enjoyed the night.

All events happened above was on the 18th and Shrimp's b'day was 19th. But I was the 1st to say Happy Birthday to Shrimpy. Teehee.

On Shrimp Actual B'day, nothing much happened. We just had a simple dinner together at our fav thai stall , it was good enough. There was taste of sweetness in it. =)

OMG!

Ok as most of you know I'm really crazy over things about Korea & I even know how to speak korean, so nonetheless korean drama. The lastest drama(not really lastest but few of those newer ones which is sold at dvd stores), The Legend aka 태왕사신기 now showing on Channel U. I've already finished the day before Miss Singapore Sweetheart final. I totally rushed to complete the drama, because I really really don't like to be kept in suspence. =/

Presenting The Legend

A long time ago, a tribe that respected the tiger and controlled fire called the Ho-jok (Tiger Tribe), ruled the world. They eliminated and assimilated all tribes except the tribe that respected the bear, called the Ung-jok (Bear Tribe). The Tiger Tribe and the Bear Tribe fought, and Hwanung could not bear to see so many people getting killed. He brought the three gods of nature; Baek-Ho (백호, the White Tiger), Cheong-Ryong (청룡, the Green Dragon), and Hyeon-Mu (현무, the Black Turtle-Snake).

He removed the power of fire from the leader of the Tiger Tribe, Gajin, sealed the power into an artifact called the Heart of Ju-Jak (주작, the Red Phoenix), and gave it to the woman he loved; Se-o. However, Gajin was mortally wounded while attacking another tribe, and she seemed to die until Hwanung healed her. This thoroughly convinced Gajin to not make a grudge against Hwanung. When her tribe was revived to take back the power of fire, they didn't listen to Gajin and decided to attack the Bear Tribe. Gajin then slew her tribe's council with her own blade, and escapes from her own tribe and heads towards the Bear Tribe, deciding to become Hwanung's woman.

However, Hwanung likes Se-o and declared his love for her, not knowing that Gajin was watching them secretly when this took place. Gajin was infuriated by this and began reforming the Tiger Tribe and attacked the Bear Tribe. Unfortunately, this was the time when Se-o was pregnant, and when she had given birth, the baby was kidnapped by Gajin who offered Se-o a deal to trade her baby for the power of fire. When Se-o refuses Gajin, Gajin responds by dropping Se-o's baby from a cliff, leading to Se-o going out of control and releasing the Heuk-Jujak (Dark Phoenix), even though Hwanung had saved the baby. (Note: Jujak is roughly the equivalent of Phoenix.) Hwanung's subordinates, the White Tiger, the Green Dragon and the Black Turtle-Snake fought the Dark Phoenix, but they were no match for it.

Left with no choice, Hwanung used his Heavenly Bow to kill Se-o, the source of the power of the Dark Phoenix, and managed to seal it once again in the heart of the Red Phoenix. Gajin committed suicide by jumping from the cliff because she now "had no reason to live in this world any more." Hwanung sealed the powers of the 'Four Gods' (The Red Phoenix, White Tiger, Green Dragon, and the Black Turtle-Snake) in certain artifacts and left them in the care of certain people, telling them that they will wake when the King of Jushin is born.

Many centuries later, Damdeok, the reincarnation of the son of Hwanung, was born. Along with him, the artifacts of the guardians of the King were born. Damdeok met difficulties in becoming the king of Goguryeo, mainly because of Yeon Hogae who mistook Damdeok for the murderer of his mother, and his father who turned the king's parliament against him.

Okok. Back to topic.. For those who have seen The Legend, I guess you guys sure have notice a new face. Yes, he's Cheoro, the Lord of Guanmi Fortess. Still wondering? Ok, remember that guy who had a mask, talks somehow like a robot and holds a reall cool spear that emits a blue colour aura when he swings it. Still can't recall? Alright, this is him..

It's Final Over!

Pageant is over, final. Am so so so exhausted. I slept for 12 hours after I crashed onto my bed yesterday after a long bath once I got home. I haven't gotten all the photos yet. But Jac has uploaded the slide show from audition onwards of Miss Singapore Sweetheart pageant on YouTube. Enjoy...
